This course covers the basics of both traditional and digital photography. Students will use traditional cameras and digital devices to import their images into the computer. They will create and print out their work. First semester covers camera handling and darkroom procedures, while second semester focuses on computer and digital imaging. Students should have access to a 35 mm camera. A lab donation is also required for the course. Topics include the principles of design and elements of art, art history and multicultural influences.
