| This course is designed for students interested in working with children as a profession as well as gaining knowledge of child growth and development. Students work with children at various sites such as preschools, day care centers, elementary schools, and schools for children with special needs. (Students must provide their own transportation to and from their on-the-job training sites.) Students will develop skills in leadership, supervision of children, equipment operations, and curriculum development. A TB test is required and students must be at least 16 years old. This course receives credit with Ohlone and Chabot College. |
