| This course prepares students for careers involving laboratory science and the biotechnology industry. Students learn procedures and laboratory skills required for lab technicians working with DNA manipulation and micro-pipetting, and other advanced laboratory techniques. Instruction includes both “hands-on” and traditional classroom experiences. After completing the course, students will be prepared to continue at the university level or apply for entry-level positions with biotechnology labs and research facilities. Prerequisite: Biology (Receives BIOT 105 credit at Ohlone College and Chabot College. UC “D” Credit Pending! | |||
