Anatomy and Physiology (THZBP)

Auto Body Painting and Refinishing 1 & 2 (TIBB/F)
Body work, MIG welding, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) finishes, custom painting.
Automotive Technology 1&2 / NATEF & AYES Certified (TITB/F)
General auto repair, brakes, steering and suspension, electrical systems, engine performance. Introduction to hybrid “green” technology.
Biotechnology 1 (THBBP)
This lab intensive course prepares students to attain hand-on experience using state of the art biotechnology instrumentation and documentation. Students are encouraged to attend internship. UC “d” credit.
Computer Animation (TANB)
Video, web, TV/film animation 2D, 3D; Adobe After Effects, Flash, Lightwave 3D, timelines, key frames, layers, interactivity; virtual video backgrounds, titling, animated elements, special effects.
Computer Graphic Design 1 & 2 (TAGB/F)

Create newsletters, articles, mailers, posters. Adobe InDesign; Illustrator, Photoshop; Flash, retouch photographs, create original print, web, animation, video; portraits, posters; large-image plotters, printers, and cards..
Cosmetology (TXHC)
3 - Hour Class, plus Saturdays; Location: Fremont Beauty College; Credit: 30 units per year
Students gain practical and theoretical skills required to pass the California Cosmetology Examination. In addition to hair styling and care of skin and nails, instruction includes business practices and procedures used in beauty salons.
Construction Technology 1 & 2 (TICB/F)

Train for jobs in construction, home remodeling, roofing, electrical, plumbing; power tool use and safety. Introduction to “green” construction techniques and products. Math credit.
Careers in Education 1 & 2 (TPCB/F)
Develop skills in leadership, supervision of children, equipment operations, and curriculum development. Ohlone, Chabot and Mission College credit.
Digital Video Arts Production 1 & 2 (TADB/TADFP) - SEE COURSE SYLLABUS / SEE COURSE SYLLABUS
Fundamentals of traditional film/videomaking; production process of documentary and short fiction; analyze film scenes and sequences, camera use and non-linear editing. (Recommend prior class in fine arts, computer applications or digital graphics). UC “f” credit for level 2 class.
Digital Sound Design 1 & 2 (TAKB/F)
Learn microphones, audio mixers, sound systems, digital audio recording tools; create original recordings, sound effects, synthesizers, Adobe Soundbooth, Cakewalk Sonar, Digital Storytelling, Radio Theater.
Fashion Merchandising 1 & 2 (TMFB/F)
Buying, clothing design, management, promotion, and manufacturing; annual fashion show. Internships; 20 units extra credit available also 6 units of credit at FIDM.
Fire Science /First Responder 1 (Juniors only) (TPAB)

Fire Service related subjects including the history of fire service, fire department organizations, fire behavior, firefighting tactics and strategies, hazardous materials, fire safety, fire service occupations and related subjects. Personal integrity, self-discipline, goal-setting, effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal relationships, physical fitness and health, strong academic skills and effective problem solving skills are emphasized. Year 2 students receive hands-on training in fire engine operations and Emergency Medical Technician training.
Fire Science /First Responder/EMT (Seniors only)(TPAF)
Firefighting tactics, strategies, hazardous materials, fire safety, tools and equipment, fire prevention, fire protection systems, pump operation, auto extraction, fire control, arson detection. Emergency Medical Technicians provide routine and emergency medical care with an ambulance service or fire department, as well as in hospitals and clinics. This course consists of both classroom and skills training, with San Francisco Paramedic Association as well as clinical observation. Year 2 students receive hands-on training in fire engine operations.
Fire Science/Driver Operator/EMT (Year 2)(TPHB)

Second year Fire Science students receive advanced training in fire engine cab and pumping operations, hose lays, hydraulics calculations, and maintenance of fire apparatus. Leadership skills for fire service employment are emphasized. This course consists of both classroom and skills training, with San Francisco Paramedic Association as well as clinical observation.
Forensic Science/Crime Scene Investigation 1, 2 (TPFBP/TPFFP)

Crime scene analysis, physical/chemical analysis, microscopy, chromatography, hair/fiber/glass analysis, fingerprint comparison, comparative analysis, document analysis, firearms, drugs/toxicology, entomology, anthropology, blood (serology) and DNA analysis. UC “g” credit approved. UC “d” credit pending.
Interior Design 1 & 2 (TMIB/F)
Create interior designs, basic principles, elements of design, space planning, color, textiles, furniture and lighting; career and post-secondary preparation; drafting, CAD. Internship/ fashion show 20 units extra credit available.
Manicurist (TXNC)
3 - Hour Class, plus Saturdays; Location: Fremont Beauty College; Credit: 30 units per year
Theory and practical skills needed to pass the California Manicurist Examination. Manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, wraps, floaters and extensions, as well as nail painting and decorating. (Twelfth grade students only.)
Medical Assisting (THAB)

Learn medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical law and ethics, secretarial and clinical assisting skills; internship at health care facility. Chabot College credit.
Nursing Assistant (THNB)
Medical terminology, CPR, first aid, personal patient care, food and nutrition, safety principles, infection control, body mechanics and vital signs. Internship at hospitals, skilled nursing facilities. Qualified students sit for state certification.
Pharmacy Clerk 1, 2 (THYB/F)
Career prep for entry level in pharmaceutical field; stocking and supplies, labeling drugs and chemicals, delivering drugs, sterilizing containers other duties under direction of pharmacist. Summer internship opportunity.
Sports Therapy 1 & 2 (THSB/F)

Fitness, physical therapy, athletic training; anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal system, prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, first aid, CPR, nutrition, Ohlone College credit. Internship included.
Veterinary Assistant (TFCB)
Terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, laboratory techniques, animal restraint, veterinary nursing, grooming, front office skills and basic work skills. Internship included. Foothill College credit.
