Washington High auto shop in running for makeover

FREMONT -- The Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program's automotive technology program is seeking community support over the next few days in its bid for a $25,000 makeover of its auto shop.
The program, located on the Washington High School campus, submitted a video to the Universal Technical Institute Foundation's "Drive to Succeed" contest.
The contest requires automotive technology programs to submit a three-minute video demonstrating their need for a donation of up to $25,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place, and $5,000 for third place.
Of the 70 videos submitted, Mission Valley ROP has made it to the top eight video finalists.
