Date: May 5, 2011 MVROP WELCOMES THE COMMUNITY TO THE 8TH ANNUAL MVROP/ WHS CAR SHOW FREMONT, CA- Mission Valley ROP (MVROP) Automotive Technology students encourage the community to join them as they host the 8th annual classic car show this Saturday, May 7th at Washington High School, located at 38442 Fremont Boulevard in Fremont, from 8am until 4pm. As we transition from Spring to the warmer, carefree days of Summer, this is the perfect family-friendly event filled with something for everyone. An impressive showing of car enthusiasts will cruise their hot rods, muscle cars, low riders, choppers, and much more to Washington High School Saturday morning to compete in this popular annual car show. Superintendent Brown shares, “This is always a fun event where the community can come together and enjoy good food, an impressive raffle, music and some of the best show cars in the area all while supporting a popular MVROP program.” This event is free to the public. If you are interested in entering a vehicle to the car show, please contact Doug Nahale at 510.505.7300 x 67361. Proceeds from the event will go towards equipment for the Automotive Technology Program. In addition to the festivities, a canned food drive will be held benefitting the Tri-City Homeless Coalition. Help support this very worthy community organization by remembering to bring out those canned goods this Saturday. See you there! Event Details About Mission Valley ROP Mission Valley ROP (MVROP) is the regional occupational program for the tri-city area. Established in 1969, MVROP has been instrumental in preparing students for successful business, medical, and technical careers. Through a partnership with Fremont, New Haven, and Newark Unified School Districts, career technical education is provided to nearly 5,000 students (high school and adult) each year. Our 45,000 sq. ft. Mission Valley ROP Career Technical Training Center is located in the heart of Fremont. |
