MISSION VALLEY ROP REQUESTS COMMUNITY INPUT FOR SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH


FREMONT, CA- After 40 years of service in education, Superintendent Charles Brown has announced his plans for retirement from Mission Valley ROP effective July 1, 2011.

The Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program (ROP) Governing Council is now conducting a confidential search for the next ROP superintendent. Rich Thome and Larry Aceves of Leadership Associates were selected to advise the Governing Council in this important process.

Community input about the desired characteristics to be used in recruiting and selecting the next Superintendent is desired. The Governing Council is soliciting input to respond to the prompt: What personal and professional qualities for an incoming superintendent will be a match for the Mission Valley ROP?

Individual input from members of the community (parents, employees and others interested in Mission Valley ROP) is requested. People may meet as individuals, in small groups, or in the Public Forum. Input may also be offered through fax, letter or email.

Individual and small group appointments will be held at Mission Valley ROP on March 22 and 23, 2011, to arrange an appointment please call Allison Aldinger at 510-492-5141.

To attend and participate in the Public Forum, where your ideas will be heard and you may hear about the process, no appointment is necessary. The Public Forum will be held at Mission Valley ROP, located at 5019 Stevenson Blvd., from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on March 22, 2011.
