Recognizing students for outstanding achievement as an essential part of your educational experience. Toward the end of the school year a select number of students will be nominated and receive well deserved recognition for various types of accomplishments. We have the Irvington Department Awards for seniors, Viking Pride awards, and the Mission Valley ROP Student of the Year award, all viable student recognition which enhances your personal portfolio, resume and/or Linkedin profile.
    For me the selection process is time consuming but very rewarding, and hopefully a rewarding experience for those selected. As such, when notified you are expected to attend the ceremony in order to receive your rightfully deserved recognition.
    You are all capable and eligible for special recognition. Depending on the award, I will review such factors as academic progress, participation in extracurricular activities, and of course the intangibles, the soft skills which are the expected School Wide Outcomes:

    • Social Responsibility
    • Communication
    • Critical Thinking
