About Mrs. Lee:
I started out as a high school student in a ROP Sports Therapy class. I went on to UC Davis where I earned a BS in Physical Education. While at Davis, I had the opportunity to participate in a 4-year internship with their athletic training department. After graduation, I became a Certified Athletic Trainer and worked as a teacher and athletic trainer for a high school in San Jose. I also continued my education, earning two teaching credentials and a master's degree. My journey has now come full circle, as I am now teaching Sports Therapy in a ROP program. This is my 23rd year as a teacher and my 14th here at Mission Valley ROP.My philosophy for teaching is that the students should have fun, be engaged and learn something at the same time. I recognize that not all students will pursue a career in health/medicine, therefore I emphasize skills that they will be able to use throughout their life. As an ROP teacher, there is also an emphasis placed on personal responsibility and professionalism.Anatomy & Physiology Links:Anatomy Arcade: Whack a Bone and Whack a Muscle are good ways to review.Sports Therapy Links:Far West Athletic Trainers' Association: For athletic trainers residing in California, Nevada, and Hawaii.Learn How to Become: Gives descriptions and information on various sports-related fields.
