Material Handler

QuietRock®, the first and most technically advanced sound damped wallboard, was developed in 2003. In August of 2013 QuietRock® and its complete line of accessories products became part of the PABCO® Gypsum family.  PABCO® Gypsum is one of the leading manufacturers of wallboard in the United States and has provided quality products and service since 1972.

We are currently accepting resumes for a Material Handler in Newark, CA for QuietRock. This position is responsible for loading and unloading gypsum board on and off a conveyor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

·         Forklift and warehouse experience, preferred

·         Load and unloads gypsum board on and off conveyor manually and assisted

·         Inspect wallboard for damages and/or imperfections

·         Wipe off excessive water on finished taping

·         Change tape roll, as needed

·         Change glue drums, as needed

·         Operate a forklift

·         Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

·         All other special projects or tasks as assigned

Successful candidates will have:

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

·         Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more

·         Regular attendance is required

  • Training will occur on Day Shift: Current shift is 1:30pm – 10 pm Monday - Friday. Required flexibility with schedule as it might change with the business need.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • It’s a physical job and the environment is dusty and can be hot.
  • Pay is $25.55 / hour. There are Shift Differentials: Swing Shift: +$0.75/hour, Grave Shift: +$1.00/hour.

Plant Labor (Training Given)

PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years.  PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction.

We are currently accepting resumes for a Production Operator in Newark, CA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

·         No experience required

·         Complete entry level training; training is offered in forklift operations and for multiple positions on the production line

·         Ability to work rotating shifts

·         Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

·         Provides extra help during equipment failures and special grade runs on the machine.

·         Assists with “down days” and startup of production line procedures

·         Assists in housekeeping duties

·         Ability to lift 60 pounds and more

  • Must have open availability all days of the week. Weekend availability is required.
  • Must be able to work all shifts (Day: 6 am – 2 pm Swing: 2 pm – 10 pm Grave: 10 pm – 6 am) on a Weekly Rotating Basis.
  • The position is in the Production Department which is maintaining cleanliness of the facility, operating machinery including forklifts and other projects.
  • It’s a physical job and the environment is dusty and can be hot.
  • Pay starts at $30.20 / hour. There are Shift Differentials: (Swing: + $0.75 / hour, Grave: + $1.00 / hour).
