Job Description:
• Support pre-sales and post sales activities with customers and answer technical questions based on Unigen’s OEM/ODM products.
• Perform requirements analysis of new products and functionality based on customer’s input.
• Understand customer’s target markets, analyze and prioritize customer design requirement, and provide feedback to the engineering team.
• Support engineering team in the collective effort of device and system level testing as requested by customers.
• Support and work with Unigen Sales and Marketing team on roadmaps, training presentations, update and create Unigen’s product datasheets, application notes and white papers.
• Support and assist in development for production test and certifications for Unigen OEM/ODM products.
• Resolve customer technical issues both in early qualification or mass production stages. This may involve working with Customer engineers on Customer site.
• Serve as point of contact to solve any field application or field failure issues at customer sites.
• Support the failure analysis of Unigen products.
Experience and Skill Requirement:
1.) Education – Bachelor of Science in Engineering
o BSEE
o BSEET
2.) Experience – 3 to 5 years
a. Hardware
i. Understand fundamentals of SSD and other Flash technologies including physical interfaces like PCIe, SATA, USB, SDIO, SPI, UART etc.
ii. Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and schematics.
iii. Ability to understand and follow PCB layout designs
iv. Hardware Design Schematic capture and PCB layout a PLUS.
b. Software
i. Understand fundamentals of software protocols and architecture.
1. Drivers
2. Embedded Operating System
a. Linux
b. WinCE
c. Android
3. Understanding the fundamentals of C, C++
4. Scripting languages like Perl, Python are a PLUS
c. Testing, Applications, Debug Analysis, Lab Experience
i. Be proficient in usage of the following Lab equipment
1. Oscilloscope
2. Protocol Analyzer
3. Signal/Function Generator
4. Bench top and advance power supplies
5. Circuit analysis
ii. Systematic Debug and Failure analysis
iii. Understand basic Flash Firmware concepts, and fundamentals of firmware management schemes like Wear-Leveling, Garbage Collection etc
iv. Measuring Performance specifications,, calculate/measure power consumption
d. Other
i. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
ii. Must be able to communicate directly with customers and provide a customer service with a great attitude
iii. Technical writing a PLUS
iv. Experience with MS Office Tools
1. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook
v. Must be able to create and maintain technical reports on issues.
vi. Travel may be required: up to 15% out of the year.
