Doug Nahale Named 2017 MVROP Teacher of the Year
Each day MVROP Automotive Technology instructor Doug Nahale is faced with learning new ways to reach students and teach them skills which can benefit them for a lifetime, regardless of their chosen career pathway. He has done so with passion and a deep understanding of what is possible when a student has their "aha" moment.
For over fourteen years, Doug Nahale, equipped with vast experience in the automotive industry as a shop foreman, mechanic, and former shop owner, has maintained a robust Washington High Automotive Technology program. Under his leadership and through his industry know-how, he has created a lasting impression on his students. So much so, his alumni often come back and connect with the program, as volunteers, mentors, and advisory members, even providing employment connections when possible. This is a testament to the level of respect he earns from those he has taught over the years.
MVROP is honored to recognize Doug Nahale's years of contributions in the classroom and asks everyone to join us as we celebrate his success in CTE.
Doug Nahale represented MVROP at the annual ACOE Teacher of the Year Cermony, where he was joined by other exceptional educators in an inspiring night of celebrations. Click on the video below to see the interview that was presented that evening.
