Washington High auto shop in running for makeover

FREMONT -- The Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program's automotive technology program is seeking community support over the next few days in its bid for a $25,000 makeover of its auto shop.The program, located on the Washington High School campus, submitted a video to the Universal Technical Institute Foundation's "Drive to Succeed" contest.
The contest requires automotive technology programs to submit a three-minute video demonstrating their need for a donation of up to $25,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place, and $5,000 for third place. Of the 70 videos submitted, Mission Valley ROP has made it to the top eight video finalists.
To vote, go to the foundation's Facebook page at HYPERLINK "https://apps.facebook.com/drivetosucceed/index2.php" through Wednesday.
